DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT
To secure the reservation, a deposit in ZAR (South African Rands) as stipulated is required by the requested due date
Please note that no booking is secured/confirmed until a deposit is received.
In most cases this deposit will be non-refundable should a cancellation occur. The balance is payable in ZAR (South African Rands) 45 or 60 days (depending on the supplier) prior to first date of travel. For bookings received within 45 days prior to date of travel, full prepayment is required within 5 days of booking. Unspoilt Africa reserves the right to release reservations being held provisionally, if a deposit is not received within the stated period.
Credit card payments will attract a service fee - 3% (Visa and Mastercard. AMEX on request) on the total value of the transaction. Please be advised that we are not able to Diners Club Cards. It is therefore advisable that payments to Unspoilt Africa are done via Bank transfer.

Clients shall settle their extras account & SATOUR bed levies prior to departure from venue/s unless otherwise arranged.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The policy set out below is designed to cover the cancellation policies as applied by the individual venues. However, the occasion may arise when a certain venue's policy may exceed the provisions made by Unspoilt Africa. This should be checked at the time of booking. On confirmation a 50% deposit is payable of which 20% is non-refundable . The following cancellation fees will be charged if the booking is cancelled within:
90 - 30 days prior to arrival | 25% of total booking cost |
29 - 15 days prior to arrival | 50% of total booking cost |
14 - 0 days prior to arrival | 100% of total booking cost |
REFUNDS AND POSTPONEMENTS
Requests for refunds and postponements will be at the sole discretion of the lodges, guest houses or hotels booked.
GROUP POLICY - (APPLIES TO FIVE OR MORE ROOMS BOOKED).
Our various venues & service providers have different group policies. On request we will send the relevant policy at the time of enquiry.
RATES
Rates are subject to change without prior notice. Payment in approved foreign currency will be accepted at the rate of exchange applicable on the payment due date. The RAND to USD exchange rate can be very volatile, it may be prudent to make payment sooner rather than later. Paying a deposit does not secure the rate, only payment in full does. We reserve the right to re-invoice you at the increased rate of exchange should circumstances dictate.
MALARIA
It is recommended that precautions be taken when entering an affected area. Check with your medical practitioner.
MEDICAL, TRAVEL AND CANCELLATION INSURANCE
Kindly note that the onus resides with the traveller to take whatever insurance is deemed adequate for comprehensive travel and medical cover for the duration of travel, and the preceding period in which cancellation policies apply.
RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE
Neither Unspoilt Africa nor its nominated representative shall be liable for any loss or damage arising from any cause whatsoever during travel or at any guest establishment in Southern Africa. While acting in good faith and in the best interests of clients, Unspoilt Africa shall not be liable for loss or damage sustained due to errors or omissions in company or other literature; non-acceptance of or non-compliance with booking terms and conditions; or any loss or damage arising from delays, illness, injury or death. Unspoilt Africa reserves the right to alter or to cancel accommodation reservations at its discretion to protect the safety of the client, in the event of unlawful activities, unsafe weather conditions, strikes, war, or any other cause deemed injurious to the safety of travellers. Expense incurred through such cancellations or alterations will be for the client’s account. This agreement and its interpretation shall be subject to South African Law.
TRAVEL REGULATIONS RELATING TO TRAVEL WITH CHILDREN
- Both parents travelling with child(ren) under the age of 18 years have to produce a full/unabridged birth certificate for the child (both parents’ details must be on the birth certificate)
- One parent travelling with child(ren) must have consent from other parent in the form of an affidavit or custody agreement confirming permission to travel with child(ren)
- One parent travelling with child(ren) and other parent passed away, must produce death certificate of deceased parent.
- Guardians travelling with child(ren) must provide affidavits from parents giving permission for child(ren) to travel
Failure to provide these documents can result in being denied entry.
